New: Anti-Spam question ~ Please report spam!

Postby JoWannes » 06 Sep 2009, 16:03

Because more and more spammers come to our forum, I added an anti-spam question to the forum. If you want to register, you need to answer an extra question:

Hope this will help against spam-bots. :S

But, please report all spam !!!
You can report spam (and other posts) by hitting the "!" button next to the "Quote" button:

Any active mods left on this site? Because "outman007" is getting pretty annoying with all of his golf spam posts.

If there arn't then we should really ellect some new ones.

yes, I have moderator powers, but I looked through all available options & I have no way to block or delete that golf guy. all I can do is delete his posts one at a time & frankly that's a losing race. he can post faster than I can delete.

so site owner/ designer needs to deal with him/

Is there a way you can get the power to issue permabans from the admin or atleast contact them so they are aware of him since he seems to be the only spambot I've seen in my short time here.

i have no "inside" route to site admin but he started this thread . so you can pm him to request more anti-spam action., or start a new thread/petition.

I would assume he reads the thread that he started; I have no idea why he's not already banned /blocked the golf guy

I would send a PM but he hasn't signed in since Februrary so I guess It would be kind of silly.

Well if it's new moderators and admins they're looking for, I would gladly volunteer. Because quite frankly, that guy and his golf spam posts are really starting to annoy me.

i took another look at the moderator controls & found an option called "moderate forum" ( separate from "moderate topic" )

that let me select a bunch of golf posts & bulk delete them in 1 go, but I still see no way to ban the golf-bot.
